That rocks! The picture I mean. But the render time rocks too. I
think you've found another POV vein to mine.

The little Steve that could! You just kept pounding away at it. And
now you are on to something very very promising.

LOL! :o) My Aunties and Uncles used to call me that!

Hehe, well, thank you very much Jim. :) It means a lot to me.
Once I found that site, I saw possibilities with the idea, so I'll have a
little play-around and try to get this one finalised.
Thanks Jim.

WOW!!! I love that blue translucency effect. Could you share the code for
that part? I'd like to try and play with it in some of my TRON models.
Thanks,
Carl

Fantastic idea and renderings, Steve.
Have you used 'absorption' in your media?
That web page of sand grain photos shows this kind of thing to be more
transparent except where the boundaries/outlines/thickest parts are, so I'm
wondering if less scattering is needed but with more absorption. Actually,
thinking about it more, that would make it even more opaque in the wrong
places. Needs to be most opaque along those edges and inner lines somehow...
and wish I knew what to suggest for doing that.
Bob

Thanks Carl! :) Yep, you'll find the .pov file in scene-files. Hope you
find it useful.
