Actually, I'm working on an animation right now, but I don't think it will
be a postable size.

Level of realism? Fairly low.

Devel of detail? Astounding! :-0

Dude, that must have taken you, like, *forever* to design...

(BTW, I always wondered... if a motherboard is an item of digital
electronics, WHY does it have so many capacitors and inductors on it?!)

That's what turns the analog into digital. :-)

Ooo.

So what analogue inputs does a normal PC have then?

(I can think of a few analogue outputs - mainly sound and video.)

That's not what I'm talking about. Until you get down close to a
measurably few number of electrons, everything electrical is analog.
There aren't 1's and 0's in your computer, but different voltages, like
+5 or -5. But what's a +3 volts? 1, or 0?

Inductors and capacitors are there to minimize the amount of time the
signals on the wires are at voltages/currents/whatever that are neither
"zero" nor "one."

Based on what? If you mean the way the picture looks then you're right, if
you're talking about the mainboard design, it's an actual Intel board

And it's not even complete :)

Nah, it's not *that* bad, I wrote a lil program to do all the tracks.

Dunno, I just use the boards, I don't design them :)
