so are we talking sometime in 2006, 2007 or 2008 for a final version ?

i have a vague idea POVCOMP finishes b4 that, but sounds like you could
with the first prize about now :-)

please tell me you're not using a M$ based machine !!!
mind you an uptime of 7 months is a bit beyond them :-)
maybe you can see i'm not a fan of M$

The machine is running Windows XP Pro...my last record uptime was over
50 days but got interrupted because of a power flicker, as was my
previous record uptime of 30 days. As long as I'm not running anything
that has a resource leak, or trying to install anything that requires a
reboot, it does fine...

Hi Oleguer

>I have no idea that exists Murphy's laws on POV-Ray.

Perhaps this joke (but true;) Law is not as well known as I thought.

To explain, try this url http://www.murphys-laws.com/
or Google "Murphy's Laws"

Uh... dude... how on earth did you manage that??

Either you have the sampling settings wrong, or that's one real complex
scene!

Another in-depth story about the *real* story behind Murphy's Law (well,
it's hard to know whats actually real, but it looks well-documented and
credible, and I've chosen to believe it, besides, it's the same story in
your link):

Well, Murphy sounds like an Irish name and the Irish are noted for
their (fairy) tales ;)
