Really nice, dispersion is great but... whats the temperature in your
basement now ? ;-)

Except that's it's not a 500 KHz CPU,
but a 2GHz cpu (which isn't all that
wonderful either)
I usually change my computers every 2-3 years
and have no old computer fetish thing. When they
become "obsolete", I give them away. Frees the
basement, makes someone happy. Win-win.
Best,
S.

Nice, and so it should be for 1664h.
It gives me a feeling of vertigo, no support for my feet and nothing
else below me.

Very nice, looks like it was well worth the wait

Well of course -- 2K and membrane keys should be enough for anybody! :-)

The irony is that I threw one in the garbage
about two, or three months ago.
I remember that I was scared as hell when
I discovered that the all-in-one chip was too
weak to save to the tape cassette AND generate
the t.v. picture at the same time. When you'd
save your program to tape, you'd lose the
display and the TV would hiss and throw sparks...
Ahhh... Good thing, that era is over!
Best,
S.

Weird.. I remember 2K. Was it a Timex Sinclair 2000, like I had? Perhaps a
different model?

I used to like to play the tapes just to hear the funky music.
> Ahhh... Good thing, that era is over!
Yeah. I miss it, though. It was my very first pooter. For some stupid
reason, I managed to drop a piece of metal into the open slot and fried it.
Then, I gave it to my 6th grade teacher (I'm dating myself here) to
demonstrate to the class.
Jerk never gave me an A, though. :-)

Nice render. The benefit of having a spare machine in the basement.
Kinda off topic, but since the musing wrt old PCs came up in this thread, I
have an old PC XT (8088 cpu), in the style I call a "sewing machine", in
that it is a luggable with the keyboard covering the five inch green display
and twin 360 floppies. Still works fine. Looking for a good home.
Is there any resale market on this antique or, when I go to move, should I
just chuck it out (with care not to chuck out my back simultaneously).

e-bay ?
If it's working, you may get some one that
needs one for something we can't think of.
Like a serial port repeater or whatever.
