Gloomy, creepy, is that a good thing :)
Not sure about the water, I've seen some good water materials around lately
so mine is starting to look a bit outdated now, I was hoping for some ideas.
i.e Christoph & Norbert, that's you :)
Something shall be going in the water and I've got quite a bit mode coding
done now. Although, I'm not sure exactly of the final plans, just have to
see what jumps to the front of my mind at the time.

Thanks
Well I'm happy as now I have my new PC I can throw in a few more samples
which allows for darker clouds, I've added a bit of fog to the horizon to
take some of the sharpness away, but I may put an island back there, who
knows.

Thankyou.
As for the clouds, they are spotted media, I'll post the code when the image
is finished. Although they only look good with the mist, take that away and
they aren't quite so nice.

Clouds look awesome! Must be real slow with all that media.
Not sure what you're doing for water, but you could try a ridged
multifractal in MegaPOV.
Wish I had a "new speedy PC"... the next computer we get will likely be
my computer that I take to college. So we could get a 1.4GHz Athlon and
I would be stuck with it for many years, or I could wait a while for say
a 2GHz Athlon and it won't be quite so obsolete five years from now. ;)

Thank you, they took 10hrs at 800*600 with aa0.3 and radiosity on, although
with the media switch off, now that's really really slow if you turn it on.

That's what I'm using, it's more the material that's the problem, doesn't
seem to look right in this scene, but I've been playing a bit so we'll see
how it looks now.

Well I've got 1.333Ghz, nice jump from my 133Mhz actually POV's at 20times
the speed. I've already managed to slow it back down to about 5pps though,
oh well, that would have been about 0.25pps on my old machine :)

Wow. These look dark and gloomy. It would be nice to have clouds like
these once in a while during the summer to cool things down.
Do they use MegaPov's media3?

Thanks, they do look like they would cool things down, I could do with some
at the moment as I've just got back from the gym.
They actually use Megapov method 2 media, here's a snippet
scattering {5, .006 extinction 1 eccentricity 0.00005 }
method 2
intervals 60
final code will follow when I have the image finished.
