So am I :-)
I belive I've made two or three half-designs which I haven't used, hope the
new one will survive :-)

How can you "loose" a post?

In Outlook Express there is a setting somewhere where you can set how long
the reader keeps old messages, if you don't turn this feature off, old
messages get deleted after a number of days.

I get this really narly blank page. (No, I don't care for flash at all).
Perhaps a non-flash imagemapped version would be just as effective?

That's intended, I like to go for a artistic minamilest design when building
web pages.

>(No, I don't care for flash at all).

I know some people don't, why not for you? It's true that there are a lot of
poorly implimented flash sites out there with nothing but cheesy animations
and sounds and no content. But a well executed flash site can take your
breath away, take a look at this one:

Have your speakers on!

> Perhaps a non-flash imagemapped version would be just as effective?

Perhaps when I have everything finished I will do that. But so far the flash
version is comming along nicely for me so it might be a while before I get
the non flash one up. The whole site will not be in flash.

I get:

You currently don't have the flash 5 plug-in installed.
Because our design work is primarily done using this plug-in, it is
required to view this site.
Please download it from Macromedia by clicking here.
Once you have it installed, please reload this page.

I'm quite reluctant to listen to stuff like this anymore rather than
just completely ignoring the page. Maybe this site is worth getting the
plugin, but I hate getting plugins, and _most_ sites that require them
aren't worth getting them. Flash probably is not too bad of one, but a
lot of "plugins" install more than just the plugin, spew their data all
over your system so you can't completely get rid of them, have no
uninstaller, are horribly bloated, and/or keep trying to put themselves
in start-up (cough cough RealPlayer cough CometCursor cough cough).
That's why mp3.com is a POS site, they try to make you use RealPlayer...

Well, I decided to get the plugin and check, despite my better
judgement. What is it about Flash that it invariably has crappy sound?
I found some "quality" option in the right-click menu, that helped a
little.

What version browser are you using? Most of the 4.0 ver browsers already
have Flash preinstalled. Anyway since you, and others, seem to hate flash so
much I guess I'll have to put an alternat version up soon:-(

True, at least for many plugins especially Real Player, but flash is nothing
like that at all.

NN 4.75. I had flash 4, but I needed 5...
Flash is okay... No CometCursor though, or your site shall be banished
from the heap, POPped into nothingness never to return! Mwuhahahaha!!!

I like the flash version.. Why not just put up the colored image with an
image map, as an alternative to flash? That shouldn't take too long..

I'm going to do something just like that.
