I'm trying to make a photorealistic landscape.
Any suggestion on what to do next?

Yes:
- add some structure to the landscape (rocky parts, plants)
- a smoother transit from the white sun to the sky (it looks a bit like a
ball)
- radiosity of course... it looks way too fast :-)
- and tell us how you did the clouds, they look good.

-small ripples on the water (real water is rarely that smooth)
-vegetation!
-raise ambient or add radiosity (but I think radiosity isn't necessary
for a landscape)

That sun looks odd.. Also the sky should be lighter closer to the sun.
Average of gradient and spherical perhaps. Although the water looks
nice, the sun reflection isn't very realistic, the phong is too big.
Maybe the best would be to use glow for the sun and let it be a 'real'
reflection?

Well applied atmospheric effects will go a long way towards
"photorealisim". Two specific aspects come to mind for this picture.
The glow around the sun needs to be integral with the general "glow" or
lightening of the atmosphere.
Give us some aerial perspective - applied to the clouds as well.

Lift the camera up a bit, I feel asthough I'm falling
backwards.

kind of water & clouds being near desert-like mountains, IMHO.

I get the feeling the water is salty, and alkaline so nothing lives in it, or
near it even. Maybe ghost rain would be appropriate (rain that evaporates
before it hits the ground). It would add extra irony to give rain, and take
it away.

The water looks ok to me. I see water done hundreds of different ways and they
all mostly look ok. I think that's because if I look at the river, the pond
behind my house, or the water standing in the horse tank, they all look
different, but still are all easily recognizable as water.
The sky looks great! The lighting seems perfect for photorealism to me. So
mostly now, you just need to add tons and tons of detail to the land. For
starters, it seems a too evenly toned; I'm seeing very little color variation
that I can't attribute to the shadowing.
Looks tons better than any of the landscapes I've ever tried.
