Nice, when do we get to see the full quality screen size version? :-)

The scaling seems much better now although you probably did not change
much in that aspect.

The waves at the front of the ship look nice, but there should be some
additional V shape waves extending to the back.

Christoph

The boat should have a wake. The colors and composition make for a very
good image.

I think you've lost something with the improvements. The first image was
very striking like something from Jason and the Argonauts(sp?). The new
image looks more like a scene from an imported beer commercial. Maybe that's
just what you wanted, how the Hell would I know. Still an awesome image in
my opinion.

The water is much improved from the first.
I think you have great lighting and atmosphere here!

Hm, must be the glow and the groundfog which makes it a bit blurred. But I
think it's okay that way, 'cause I don't have to use focal blur. :-)

Thanks,

What size do you want? :-) 640x480 took a bit more than 10 hours, so
1280x1024 would take a bit long. 1024x768 would be okay for me, though.

I scaled the waves down and obviously changed positioning. Now it's easier
to see the positions of the objects relative to each other, which makes the
scaling clearer - I guess.

Well .... I'll try next week. That missing waves bothered me too, but I was
to lazy and did not want to complicate the water-iso even more. It takes
about 90% rendertime to render that water-part of the image! But it's really
missing, so this one is not final yet.

Thanks for your comments,

Marc-Hendrik

You are right, I'll make it next week.

If it were a commercial would the sail not have been green ;-) But I know
what you mean. I often change more artistic settings for realism ... not
that good, I think.

It's not more than some scaling. In fact, I just scaled the first water down
in y by half (in a way). Intresting how things can change by this 'minor'
changes.

Thanks,

Marc-Hendrik

Heres something I thought when I saw the first version of this:

The water looked like dirt. This version is better, but add more phong or
reflection to it.
UNLESS
I thought the image where the water looked like dirt made a very cool and
surreal scene, like the sea had dried up by some evil magic...
