I don't know if anyone remembers this show, but it was a major part of my
childhood. Anyways, I found some technical drawings of the Viper, which I
scanned and loaded into Moray as background images, and am modelling around
those. This is my first attempt at doing anything in that manner, and here
is the fruit of my first nine hours. All Image and Bump maps were created
from scratch in Paint Shop Pro 7. Feedback greatly appreciated. I will post
again around the 10th, by which date I may have found time enough to add
wings, cannon, finish the engines, and maybe even try to tackle doing a
pilot.

Yes.

I was snooping on the Blender site earlier this week and there's a
radiosity tutorial that uses a Cylon raider as its model, what a
coinky-dink!

From what I remember (it was showing in re-runs, here before Christmas)
the nose is squarer and there should be a lot more baffles on your
engines.

I heard that they're planning a new movie. I'm not sure if it's a
remake, or what, but it should be interesting to see what they do with
the design!

helpful with image map creation. i'm on a unix machine at school right
now so the image is dark. i'll take a look when i get home today where

If I remember correctly the villians were some robots with moving lights -
who ever made those roboits in the first place anyway!

It wouldn't be the same without Lorne Greene though.
:-}
Sorry, couldn't resist.

That brought back memories. Cool render. Can't wait
to see what you do with it next. Thanks for posting it.

I think Hoss from Bonanza made the robots.
