These images are posted in order to illustrate a question I have regarding
megaPOV glows which is primarily directed at Chris Huff.

Chris, I have rendered an animation (2 stills attatched here). You'll notice
how, when glows become closer together, their light becomes brighter and
melts into a strong (in this case white) glow? I really like the fact that
this behaviour occurs. However, I have noticed that this behaviour is not
seen in the reflection on the floor plane. I was wondering if this could be
'fixed'?

    I would like to see it the other way. If I want the lights to appear to
glob together, I can add more and/or bigger glows. I would, however, like to
be able to place many points of light in close proximity -without- them
globbing.

    Perhaps a glob_on, glob_off switch?

as long as it retains the 'glob' keyword :) - that would make a great
addition to the POVer's vocab!

Yeah, you're right... glob_options sound like a useful addition. :-) Just
make them globs reflect!!

Erm, no. If you don't want them to "glob", just make them dimmer.
There isn't any special handling done to make them blob up like that, 
they are simply additive, and doing anything different would be 
difficult(probably more like impossible), unrealistic, and 
unnecessary...since you can get the exact results you want by dimming 
those specific glows.

Try making your plane 100% reflective. The "melting together" is due to 
the glow effects adding together, if the plane reflects a dimmer image 
of the glow, you won't see the effect as much. This can't be "fixed", 
because it isn't a problem.
Also, this may have something to do with the fact that the glow isn't 
calculated between the plane and the camera, but only between the plane 
and the glow. Because the total distance the ray has travelled isn't 
used, the reflection of the glow is dimmer. I may strip out the depth 
dependance from the equations, which will make things slightly less 
realistic but more consistent.
