IMHO the orientations of the leaves on this bush look incorrect.
Especially the branches on the left & maybe those on the right.
This bush looks like it was grown in an environment where the light
distrib over its whole sky-sphere was constant in contrast to the system
that generally occurs in reality where most of the light comes from
above due to shading by other plants and attenuation of the sun's light
at low angles. It also depends on the shade-tolerance of the plant.
Aside from that it looks quite good.
But remember ther should always be a reason why the plant grows in a
particular direction.

Excellent work. This is just like an overgrown, in need of prunning, bush in
my garden!

There's something wrong with this one that I can't quite put my finger
on.. it may be how the outer branches grow.
Still, it does look very nice.. antialiasing would have helped a lot,
though. ;)

Hi Mick,
In fact, I should have mentioned that these
shrubs are supposed to be the ones found
in the wild, not the cut and shaped garden
shrubs. Thanks!

Hi Bill,
Thanks. I think I'll try to make a little
outdoor scene with a few of these
and post it for group this weekend.
Have a great day!

Hi Pabs,
You're probably correct. The leaves and branches
would attempt to rotate toward the light. But there are
times were they either won't rotate completely or
will be in the process of trying to grow in that direction
after being damaged or weakened, so I'll have to resist
simply rotating all of the leaves towards the sunlight.
I think I'll try to code in the plant's attempt to re-orient
the leaves. With a little probability, only some leaves
would be fully oriented and others would not. Perhaps that
would help complete the model.
Thanks for your help, have a great day!

Hi Xplo,
See my response to Pabs. Additionally, the
jpeg really wrecks the accuracy of the picture,
and I agree, some AA woould help alot.
Have a great day!

Looks like a Buddlia (sp?), the butterfly plant.

An odd plant. The branches are rather long, thin and stiff, like
needles. Looks like the annoying kind of plant you get poked by and get
a nice puffy reaction. :)
