Any suggestion what to add/modify?
Question: The "noise" in the frame of the window is caused by the
normal scaling behaviour in megapov (I'm scaling the texture <10,1,1> and
that makes the normals too deep in the x-direction). How could I get rid
of that?

Try adding a very thin piece of wood with the texture in the x/y direction

The wood grain looks strange to me. What kind of wood is that? The grain
is also too big which makes the room appear smaller.
The candle is a little too bright too. For that amount of brightness, a
lantern would look much better, especially if it's an antique.
As Mick suggested, a rug would look quite nice. Especially one that would
resemble a bear fur.
Despite my criticism, I think it looks great.
Richard.

1 - Stars. There seems to be light coming in through the window,
however, we don't see anything outside.
2 - Soot on the ceiling above the candle. Especially since it is just
centimeters above the flame.
3 - Dust, cobwebs. (I've never seen a attic this clean)
4 - The "rounded edges" (argh! can't remember word) on the floor boards
are either too big, or your attic is really only about 30cm high...

Don't. It gives your wood an old and weathered look. However, the rest
of the wood would need to look as old for the picture to "make sense".
But don't listen to me.

The candel looks far too bright, and it may look good with some
more wooden items in there like a treasure chest underneath
the window, hmm maybe a map on the wall showing the path to some
more burried treasure where X marks the spot.

As Richard mentioned the wood looks somewhat unnatural, if it's a 'wood'
pattern, you could try less turbulence and maybe some smaller scaling.
I much like the lighting, although the reflection of the candle in exactly 90
degree angle looks somewhat strange.

IIRC you could use a (pigment) function for the normal.

Hi Warp
Very nice looking attic.
> Any suggestion what to add/modify?
How about some snow resting on the glass panes outside, just to add even
more warmth to an already very warm looking attic. Also it needs dirtying up
a bit, books scattered about, the chest that someone mentioned before would
look good as well.

How about using no_bump_scale in the normal and adjusting the intensity of
the wood normal accordingly, works for me.

If you don't move that candle over a bit, you are in danger of starting
a fire...and the lighting is too bright.

That's one powerful candle! I'd say gamma, but it doesn't have the washed-out
appearance I'd expect when gamma is too high.
