I moved the grass to the side some to reveal the wheels (I know, they're not
REAL train wheels, but well..so what), Added some clouds, and played with
the tree a bit more. Oh yeah, changed fog settings.

Those changes made a huge difference. Cool thing is, the grass doesn't
look so healthy anymore, which is the way it would be in the desert
anyway. The horizon looks a lot better too.

This is just a suggestion.
Where the tree intersects the ground, it goes straight in instead of
curving outward like roots would do. Also, the bottom of the tree might
have a bit of sand/dust on it or sand piled up around the base like a
snow drift.

Although on second though, I don't see much san there, so maybe it wouldn't?

This is a great image. I could imagine buzzards circling...

Pretty, but a rather stupendously large file size going from the average
in this group...

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

I'd play with png compression settings inyour favorite image editor. This is
a huge file, and most of the people here won't view such a file. I know that
the GNU program The Gimp can output compressed pngs. it has been known to
run on MS windows, but it was originally intended for GNU/Linux compatible
systems.

peace,
ross

Wow that is a really big improvement! Although I kind'a liked the shadow the
tree cast in the other image, it was more moody, but over all this is really
nice looking. The clouds are good, what are they? Just a bozo texture on a
plane, or some other pattern? If you were to use a more realistic tree, like
one from one of the many tree macros or from lparser, this scene would
really come alive!!
