Great picture...any possibilty of posting the scene file? I am really
interested in your lighting and radiosity.

Well, okay. I cleaned up the code quite a bit. Now there's a variable so
you can change the height of each step and have the camera angle calculated
automatically, but I didn't do too much about optimizing the features. To
me, as long as it is finished by morning, it doesn't make too much of a
difference whether it takes four hours or eight. Also, the lighting just
consists of a yellow/orange area light with high intensity, and a blue sky
sphere for radiosity. That's about the extent of what you'll find in the
file, but I'll post it in p.b.s-f.

I think I've also seen a rework of that stuff by our very own
Bob H not sure which url, but they're both his:

You made me go look, I never uploaded it to the web space FAIK though.
Wasn't my perpetual waterfall by Escher model anyhow, was one from a 3D site
with free models. I guess I only posted the rendering to
povray.binaries.images or the animation to p.b.a. because I remember some
comments on it. Mainly about that perspective trouble.

Noticed now that I'm not uploading anything lately since this brought that
to my attention, pretty pitiful of me.

Thanks - got a nice big version for my desktop now. One curiosity, when you know
what to look for, the radiosity gives the game away, since it is missing on the
fake join (i.e. the face of the step casts no colour onto the next step).

Hmmmm. Didn't think about that. If I had really been trying, I would have used
megapov's no_image statement on a fake step above the highest. Would that work or
would it be no better than no step? If not that, it would be possible to just put
a step cut in half so it could cast a shadow on the highest step while also showing
radiosity.
