About that bad ... I meant it though, just can't place it.

what about 'the blob'?
wasn't that all pink and amorphous?

Don't think that was the movie but the description correct. Smaller
beads and lots of motion and colored pink and that's about it for an
animation. It was a dumb movie, no question. In fact it has probably
been copied in six other equally bad movies.

I'm not trying to drag is off topic. Rather looking for a serious
animation image. A little phong for glistening. I do like its looks. The
essence of animation for a story is hinting at the story particularly
for IRTC.

A real eye-catcher, this is.
There's a tendency of it to look very smokey so I thought that seemed a bit off
from a scale point of view. I really thought I was seeing a photograph at
first.
Will the turbulence not cause it to jump about when animated?

Bob H.

yeah, it's actually the blue fog that's in the scene. i haven't really dealt with
the scale issue, or the actual composition of the scene yet, this image just
happended to be a happy accident, so to speak.

Just as long as the apparent frequency of the turbulence isn't changed i imagine
that they (each individual ball) will remain relatively as close as they are now to
their neighbours. That is, if you were to only translate the turbulence through the
grid rather than animate the vturbulence parms.
But, alas, i have already taken the scene too far in another direction to try
animating it. I'll wait 'till i get the intended scene done and then have a go
animating with vturb - i imagine it would look really interesting.

Looks really neat, reminds me of some things with eval_pigment i did some
time ago. Have you tried a blob version of the same thing?

Looks a bit like my handkerchief, only with a different greenish object in it.

A very interesting technique. I wonder how good you can control it to use for
crumpled-textile sort of stuff. I think we will see variations on this soon (or
at least I hope).

Its very beautiful....really. Colors seem soft, has a realistic light to it.
I'd surely love to know how you did that.
May I please see the source?

Or a parametric? That could give a better idea of the thing's detailed
shape.
