Attached is the scene file and the results for diffuse 1, 2, 3. The
general discussion is on pov.general Sub: modest problem.

	The light source is very far away so the light be essentially parallel.
The result should be an essentially vertical line dividing light and
dark regardless of diffuse or light. Look at the quarter moon, pictures
earth from space.

	However even diffuse 3 (or light_source with rgb<1,1,1>*3) comes close
to that vertical line and still not quite there.

	You can see the closer it gets to a vertical line the side facing the
light get washed out.

IIRC you might want to change brilliance.

The moon defies the lambertian model because it's exceptionally rough and is covered
with
dust that reflects light in odd directions. Quick solution to your problem

finish {ambient 0 diffuse 1 brilliance 0}

Uh,.... what you want is parallel light?
MegaPov 0.6 help file section 2.3. Not using MegaPov, yet? Shame!
