Is it a logo?

Is it a mascot?

No, it's Emoti-POV!

I found this little guy (?) while doodling in search of a pov logo...
I may add a yellow hair "M" for his MegaPov brother...

Not great art - or even art - but I quite like him. What do you think? And
what could his name be?

Povingly,

Philippe

It looks funny, make it a macro accepting a conventional emoticon string as
parameter ... :-)

How about "Povemoti"

Finally, a use for emoticons! (Actually, when did we start calling them
emoticons? I thought they were smiley's.) They're very nice. I can see lots of
uses for something like this in a book describing POV-Ray. If I ever
completely redesign my cyclopedia, I'll be asking permission for this little
guy.

The Office Assistant as it is called. I use the little robotic guy in Word
2000 just to keep me company. Haven't seen if there is a way to make a
custom one but it would probably be quite a task to get all the actions
made, so I probably won't ever give it a try even if there is a way.

I have read somewhere in msdn that there is a SDK and these "Office
Assistants" can be added to custom software, but they have a different name
for them (can't remember what?)

MS Agent. Cool tricks. You can insert voice activation and response,
several levels of animation, program interaction... lots of good stuff. I
use a shareware version of an implementation for voice, ShadiSoft "Speak",
as well as doing some JavaScript implementations of my own.

mmh... Good idea to easily access presets. I'll think about that.

Not much better than it's "Emoti-Pov" project name. Can't get my mouth
around these words. But Povemoti does sound like a name (an Italian last
name I'd say) while Emoti-Pov sounds like nothing ;-)

Povingly,

Philippe

Yes, yes, I also saw the similarity. (Is this even English?)
