Is this a contradiction? Cute and imposing? Perhaps. Something to fear is
probably more imposing, isn't it?

I'll work on this.

Ok.

It's just a quick HF to have a ground. Perhaps I'll come up with some rocks
and precipices, 'cause Torganswall is located on mountains with glaciers,
everlasting ice etc.

Thanks,

That might in fact be the problem :-)

I think you misunderstand the sentence:

Imposing = No
Cute = Yes

No I understood it that way. But I wonder if it is possible to look imposing
AND cute at the same time. I hope 'imposing' has no connotation which I
totally miss, because most of the suggestions for this pic seems to say:
"make it darker, and add thinks to scare people of". I agree this will
probably help making it imposing, but I thought of a more "friendly" way. As
Tom Melly said in his reply: That might well be the problem. :-)

"Doesn't" is an abbreviation of "does not",

If I'd have said "It does not look imposing", it would sound asthough I
was disagreeing with you, but by saying "it doesn't look imposing", the
meaning is softened considerably and made much less formal. The
interpretation relies a lot on the context so don't (do not), take any
of the above to be a hard and fast rool.

Maybe what you're looking for is big or awesome rather than imposing,

Oh, there went something definetly wrong :-). Reading my response again I
see, what this misunderstandig could be about. I'll try again:

You are absolutly right, it doesn't look imposing. But I wonder if it is
possible to make it look cute AND imposing - or is this a contradiction in
itself? Well, perhaps "imposing" is indeed the wrong word (it's what my
dictionary told me is the expression for the German "eindrucksvoll,
imponierend"), is "impressive" better? Or yes - "awesome" might be the word
as you suggested :-)

Sorry, if i pulled the wrong trigger with my lousy attemps to use the
English language. I'm familiar with most of the everydays abbreviations and
I thing I got you right. You native english speaker have probably a hard
time with (some) of us non-natives sometimes. :-)

You people (who use this server), all speak such good English that it's easy
to forget and use abbreviations and colloquialisms all over the place.
