Hey,

Just mucking around with media and heightfields. Render time is terrible
though - at 640x480 A0.001, +20 hrs to get to 44 percent.

Reminds me of a Stevie Wonder song that I wanted to render once. Looks very
nice. Please post the source.

Official POV media?

This looks like it would be a good use for the object pattern...use the
object pattern as the density, but use a fast-rendering object like a
sphere as the container.

Gee, ever notice that if you look at clouds long enough they start
looking like stuff? That one in the middle almost looks like a smiley
face to me. :)

Hey,

Don't know that song. Source will be in p.t.s-f in a few mins.

Hey,

No, MegaPov media. I tried both type 2 and type 3, but the quality of each
in this scene seemed the same, and there was no apparent change in render
time - I stopped each run after 20 hours, and both were only about half way.
Interestingly, both types introduced strange speckles in the clouds (I
didn't try type 1), not like poorly sampled media, but just random lingle
specks here and there.

Simply changing the method won't make it much faster...the main
advantage to method 2 and 3 is that they let you get smooth results with
lower settings.
