Ok I have made the glass a lot thinner and it is not 5 separate panes.
This is the final image. I just took a look at the IRTC topic, SEA, I've
never entered a pic before, think I could fit this in or is it too far
off topic?

Why not ? Maybe some more subleties would make it a fine entry,
something like the fishes looking at a sea photograph on the wall...

Fabien.

Maybe if you added some sort of surealistic "Sea" thing to the Aquarium.
Like a scale QE2 or Off shore drilling rig. Maybe a life size fishing line
and bobber, or some toes dipping in. Something to give the impression that
there is a space time warp in the aqurium and a part of the real sea has
been transfered into the tank.

Ooh, enter it! Call it a microcosm or something. :)
I think it needs one of those little fish tank toys, like a sunken ship.

it's sea in a glass box, so sure, enter it. or have the fish read
travel magazines about the sea longinly wishing to be there. a funny
entry would be giant fish on land fishing for people (who just walk by,
ignoring the fish) with standard fishing gear and catching them. there
could be hooks in people's mouths, sandwiches for bait, a bucket or
cooler full of sand to keep the caught people in etc. any takers?

Hey,

Cool, nice image. I don't think it's too far off topic, or at least, you
could make it something on topic - say "The fish swam in circles in the
tank, dreaming of a life of freedom back in the sea. Meanwhile, they played
dumb for the unsuspecting humans, biding their time until the revolution..."
One side of the competition (IMHO) is getting the idea for the image, before
you actually even begin to start a scene.

here's an idea i have but i'm not good enough at pov to do it:

Make an scene of the bottom of the sea with a fishtank on the bottom.
instead of fish in the tank, make it have a couple people sitting on a couch
watching a tv or something like that. if i was half decent at pov i would
do it, but i'm not, so i can't.

Given how loosely people have interpreted the topic in the past, this image
is extremely on-topic. Enter it!

Thanks for all the comments guys:-) I think I will enter the scene in the IRTC
but seeing as I have until the end of August I'm going to take some time to
perfect the scene a little. I'm thinking of putting a sunken ship in the tank,
modeled with Rhino, and maybe the fishing idea. I'll have to think a little.
