A while ago I posted some simple POV code for a possible symbol to represent
POV-Ray (first image), along with a few renderings that showed variations on
the theme. Since then the idea's continued to play on my mind, with the
attached results: the first and second images are pure POV output, the
remaining three are vectorised versions (which might more properly be
considered as 'logos')...

First of all I want to say I like these a lot, and the previous ones you did.
I wanted to try a bit of a twist on it so attached is a modified version of
your design. I thought it needed some relevance to a traced ray so the cone
(or triangle) shape is intended to be a ray leaving the "eye". Plus it kind
of gives it a P and R look as well.
See what you think Chris, and everyone else too. I think this basic design
can undergo many permutations, just as you have already shown Chris. Similar
to Tony's in that regard.

Bob

I wish I were as good as you presenting my logo. I'm just such a bad POVer
and a worse Illustratorer... sigh... I think you'll win by virtue of being
able to show yours off better. Congratulations.

No offense, but I prefer Chris' own design.

I think it is more balanced and more flexible.

Hey, you never know!

In my opinion, if you improve your own presentations a little more, they're
about as good as Chris'.

Keep trying! :-)

And everybody else too!

Rune

Hi Chris!

Excellent as always!

Whenever you want to you can presubmit your logo you're welcome to do so.

When presubmitted, the logo need to follow the specifications in the rules.

For example, 3 custom versions of the logo can be submitted at most. You
could either choose the 3 best presentations you've made, or you could show
more than one presentation in some of the images, with the loss of
resolution.

The rules can be found at
http://rsj.mobilixnet.dk/logo/progress/progress.html

Hope to see your presubmission soon! Remember that presubmitting the logo
doesn't mean it's too late to make any changes to it.

Greetings,

Rune
