I think the goofiest thing is when people say the INC, the JPG, and the discussion of
a project must
go into three separate pov newsgroups..........

<wrath>No, shame on you. Bad, bad, bad!</wrath> ;-)
Well this would have been fine altogether at the povray.binaries.scene-files
perhaps.
The intention of having the files in their proper places is so any person
knows more instinctively where to look for a particular type of thing. In
this case a rounded letters pov script. Not something you'd expect to find
among a images-only (I know, not "only" as is with pieces of this and that
thrown in) group.
The letters look good, although I noticed the base of the "V" doesn't connect
at a point. I like that image of them with that lone "I" standing there.

I prefer images here, scene in pbs-f (three?) because posts are way easier to
find that way. Especially general purpose include files like this which I may
want to use in one maybe 4 years time. I seriously doubt I will have this post
in disk cache by then. (pbi occupies 30 MB allready)

Yeah, I understand . . . and . . . I still have to go "instinctively" to
three news
groups to get it. :) But hey, whatever works - now I know - post the pic
&
mention if the support files have also been u/l'd to p.b.s.files.

Picky, picky, picky! hehe :) Good eye, Bob - guess I must not have
used the "V" in a scene or I would have noticed. Sure enough, took a
look and found I never placed a sphere and the pointy end. Should be
one here: sphere{<0,-2.5,0> 0.5} Thanks . . . live & learn.

Only 30Mb? It's up to 57 Mb on my machine and I've only been reading for
a few months... Admittedly I did download 2000 back posts when I first
subscribed :)
And personally, I don't really object to relatively small source files
being posted here, but it's nice to have them posted to the 'correct'
NG's too so that I could find them later on without having to remember
that they were in p.b.I.
Of course, my opinion means less than that of those who
run/administer/host these NG's <grin>
Bye for now,
Jamie.

I do have older posts on a cd-rw, downloaded from scool. I don't trust
Netscape's handling of cached newsgroups.

Oh, that was it, I just thought the two bars weren't joined. Well, that's
what I get paid for, a good eye. Alas I get no pay though ;-)
