I am developping an adventure game with other pov user
(http://members.xoom.com/GenOrb). This week-end I made some
tests for textures and lightning. Instead of let these pictures on my
hard drive I share them with you ;). Not all the things are perfect:
The reflective object (Metal and Glass) are rather well "blended" in
their environment, but for other this is more disputable.
On this picture, I use trick to simulate radiosity (the shadows are
less darker than without the trick)

Fabian.

That's it! I'll never be that good at texturing. What's the point in
keeping trying. I give up :(

It's probably just me, but it looks like the orange ball is floating
above the marble slab.

The spheres don't impress me all that much.. but that big cracked
marble-looking cylinder is badass! How did you do that? :o

You are right there is some problem there. Radiosity help to
"blending" all the object in the scene.

Thanks you very much!

Fabian.

This is because there are too small and one cannot
see well the texture ;).

Thanks you! This is a well chosen and enhanced image_map.
But a trick to get a good image with any renderer is
to put much light (even if the evening test is not so bad
and there, there is not much light).

Not so bad?! The late afternoon (early evening) rendering is my favorite!

* somehow "badass" seemed it wouldn't translate so well and I took the liberty of
changing
it.

I am rather modest, I don't like to say that what I am doing is very
good or something like that. However, I like (as everyone I suppose)
when others tell me that what I am doing is good :).

Thanks again :).
