:::Stands back::: Seriously? No offense, but that's like the mountain
swaying to the wind, if you'll forgive my analogy. Drop me a line if your
really interested; I'd be more than happy. Anyway, it's somewhat
large...textures, models or both?

By the way, I must thank you for opening my eyes to a "higher" understanding
or textures and modeling. Your last source post intrigued me to the point
of browsing MegaPov's help file and studying its abilities in earnest.
There's a lot to learn, but I've got all the time in the world...

There is/was an episode of TNG that had a scientist
trying to generate power from orbit. She required
three semi self aware robots to perform matintance
in the small access tubes. The power project was a
bust but the robots were declared another life form.

Neither :-)

Yup. I like it. It does need to be rendered at a higher res, however.

Hmmm... Could you e-mail me the model and decreased textures? I assume you used
blobs and csg, so the .pov files won't be very large.

Gee, what do you say to something like this? Umm. Glad I could help.

He's not the only one :) I saw some of the work you were producing, and
realized "Damn! This program can do some wicked stuff if one knows how!".
While I might not have your native artistic ability, it HAS prompted me to
sit down with 'stack o' documentation' and finally try to learn how to use
this raytracer _properly_ rather than just tinker with it.

Additionally, with HTML posting it is easier for someone to accidentally
include the image in their reply to the post, resulting in two or three
additional messages each containing a copy of the image.

Also try either a high brilliance(3-5 or more) or a negative brilliance.

Now I'm curious. Negative brilliance? What does it do? Suck in
light? I must try that.

Sort of...here is an image that demonstrates the effects of brilliance.
Values go like this:
Top row: -50 to 50 in increments of 10
Second from top row: -25 to 25 in increments of 5
Middle row: -5 to 5 in increments of 1
Middle row: -1 to 1 in increments of 0.2
Middle row: -0.5 to 0.5 in increments of 0.1

The center column, which is easily identifiable, has a brilliance of 0.
