I'm updating some of my old animations using MegaPov, so I was in need of
another spaceship for my collection, this is what I came up with.

This looks surprisingly like a Pfhor slaver scoutship from Marathon...
Ok, I will shut up now. :-)

I'll have to find out about this Marathon, I seem to be duplicating its logo
and ships without trying. What next?

http://marathon.bungie.org/ is a good place to start...
Probably the main reason I have been noticing things like this is that
Bungie recently released the Marathon 2 source code, so there are a few
new "unofficial" versions with engine improvements(Marathon AlephOne is
the biggest and most developed one), as well as a couple people working
on ports to Linux and Windows.(there was a Windows version of Marathon
2, but that source wasn't released, and the original Marathon and
Marathon Infinity are Mac only)
Actually, I think someone did an image of a Pfhor staff fighter in
POV...it was probably on the old CompuServe forum.
Hmm, speaking of Bungie games, maybe I should do an image of the orbital
from Halo...

They'd be better off talking to H.E. Day, he's a lot better than me and he's
got youth on his side.
It used to be that all my POV output was "Space stuff", it was the only
thing I was good at and was proud to show my images off. I had a few weeks
with the abstract images, but better abstract POVers have emerged. :-(
Sorry, bit down today. Strangely the smiley has had a negative affect on me.

I think it's a mistake (for most of us) to compare our work to
H.E.Day's. The guy's obviously a freakin' genius... :)
