Hi all.

Boy the last time I even peeked in this news group must be well over a
year ago. Not sure if anyone remembers me?? I'm that 17 year old kid who
posted images way back. If you do then I must say you have a great
memory! I used to post some images in here fairly often but I sorta got
caught up in other things and have slowly gravitated away from pov-ray.
I'm still into 3D though and have recently took up 3D Studio, man I need
to lean Nurbs modeling. Not sure if any of my images are still up here?
If you don't remember me you could take a look at my website, I have all
my images there, maybe some of them will tweak someone's memory. Anyway
just thought I would drop by and see if this group was still humming,
from the over 25,000 posts I can see it is though!! I have attached a
few of my early images from my work with 3D Studio. I am not at the
level I was at with Pov-Ray but hopefully I'll get there. I have learned
how to do some character modelling, the devel creature in the
attachment, and how to use 3DStudios skin and bones feature.

I might remember you vaguely but don't count on it, my memory fades in and out.
Think I know of the Cafe and Ant Trap pictures anyway, probably the DS9 one
also.
Hope you won't be uploading 3DS renders here all the time trying to make us feel
intimidated. Mostly because "It just ain't right to do so!" :-D
Better yet I do hope you post some more POV-Ray renders here if you ever get the
chance to.
25,000 posts huh, yeah, I know it's been popular here the past year. I've
retrieved almost every post to news:povray.org at least twice and maybe three
times when changing news readers or looking for older messages.

I remember but it has been less than a year. First post 6/98 last May 15, 1999.

Every message you ever posted is still here if you retreive enough
of them.

Since you are proficient with POV-Ray how about a marriage between the
two programs. Learn to model in 3DS and render in POV-Ray :)

I like both images the first more so than the second. I have seen
much better grass in POV-Ray than what you are showing but I suppose
it's not really that easy in either program.

Sorry Thomas I missed you last year.

If my algorithms are correct (and I doubt this) you would be
18 now.

I don't know where you have been, (maybe on the Dark Side
[3dmax]) but my best advice would be to ignore me and
keep using pov.

Hey, you posted I answered, now let us all get some sleep.

Thanks:-)

It has been a while since I put that up and since I have updated the page.
I plan on putting different faces on the page as I get better at character
modeling in 3DS.

This is especially useful for me because I learn javascript by looking at
other people's page source :-) (I don't plagarize it, I just take notes on
basic syntax using foo and stuff) I'm too cheap to get a book and there
doesn't seem to be a whole lot on the web that gets right to the point.
