Okay, I'm finally decloaking from lurker status and posting this little
thing due to requests from Bob and Andrew. It's a little thing that I
whipped up after we started studying curves in 3space in my Cal II class.
Plus, I needed a new background, that is why it is so simple. Oh yeah, it
took 7 hours to render @ 1024X768.

Mind if I do a little art interpreting? Okay, thanks :) The energetic
particles of a solar wind spiral down into the magnetic field of a rogue
planet.
Seriously though it is dynamic. Interesting that there seems to be a wall
(shadows of the "particles") amid the auroral-like brightness (media?).
Btw, Calculus must be doing you some good.

Very, very nice. I particularly like the fact that it's so grainy...makes it look like
old
film.

Actually the original is much crisper than this one appears to be, but it
does have a slightly softened look. That is probably because of my
anti-aliasing setting, I think the default is a little high for this image
and PSP distorted that when I resized. Though, I must say that it does look
kinda cool like this...

Oh, yeah. I owe a small thanks to Ken as the heightfield is a slightly
modified version of one of his textures.

Glad to have helped. I think this might still bennifit from the use
of a couple of well placed colored lights. As a stand alone it looks
good but the bright white washed out areas seem to detract from the
image.

It has a wonderful feel to it, i really like it. The grainy feeling of the
background is "just right" for this image. hmm, don't know what else to say, but
Welcome to the posting gang. :-)
