I realy love this!

The silver surfer was always one of my favourites when I was a kid.

I look forward to seeing your blobman macro!

Mick

Very, very impressive! But allow me one gripe. It seems to me that the
pectorals of the figure look kind of unnatural... The shape is wrong,
somehow, even if he is a devoted body-builder.
Anyway, all in all it is amazing.

Hmm, place this fella in a good scene, please..

perhaps a ruined city or something.... (hmm, I always associate him with
destrucion, don't know why)

I wasn't going to bother, it only took me 20 mins to code and 2 mins to
render, I may put him in a scene when I get time.

If someone else wants to have a go the surfers pose is included in the blob
man package, the texture is in metals.inc and the surf board is a scaled
sphere.

Does this mean you have updated the file? It appears to have the same name
as your previous version, so I thought I would ask.

Yes, the new version (2.0) should be on my site tommorrow night, I'm
updating my pages at the moment.

These are the changes since version 1.0

* Remodeled the head, and added optional image_map textures for the face.
* Eye lids can be set individually, so winking is possible.
* Remodeled the feet.
* Added mass to the arms and legs.
* Remodeled the hands and articulated the fingers.
* Externally defined skin texture.
* Added a Blob_Man Macro to create a complete figure from a given pose
number as
  defined in a Pose File.
* Rewrote the motion mechanics to make the code more readable.
* Generally cleaned up the code.
* Generated more Pre-Defined poses

Regards,

Peter H.

I have posted the source code (what little there is) in text.scene-files, it
requires version 2 of blob_man.inc which is avalable now from

Figured I would take your code, improve on it, and call it my
own.

Wrong! Every time I changed anything I decided I liked your
original better. Thank you for posting the source. I rendered
it sized to match my screen and use it as my wallpaper.

Thanks again, for the image and the macro. Way cool.
