Hiyas, been working a bit on my own lighthouse.
Well, lets see now, the camera has a normal to it, not at all subtle, I have a
normal on everything actually, it all is pretty random.
Then there is that little sign. The one I spoke of in .general.
and, I really _killed_ this image with the jpg. I used a 20% quality setting,
really destructive. (the original png was some 2Mb) all those yellow spotches
and so on are the jpegs fault. actully, everything is the jpegs fault,
everything !!! I didn't even render this, I didn't calculate anything, i'm
INNOCENT! or... nah. pretty much qualityloss anyway :-)

well, tell me what you think.

Now tell the truth. You got that monstrous Microsoft plugin from their
free thingy that comes with FrontPage and installed it in PSP, right?

If you seriously did it in POVRay, you've got a *lot* of explaining
to do.

Ehh. I don't have FrontPage, but I must admit that I used PSP to save and shirnk
the image...

Hey, you know what? My GF has a scanner, I "borrowed" it and some postcards,
made some fairly big scans(2500pixels in width or so) and then went on with the
image maps..
I have a new image going here, with several Hf+image_map, and some reflective
and filtering objects in between, all pretty interesting.
This one also has a normal_map on the camera, a normal on the
heightfield(depending on the elevation, normal_map). I've also added a few other
things in the new ones, several transparent spheres and boxes in front of the
image, only breaking the light a bit for distortion. I'm generally having a fun
time with this. (oh, the image I use for a hf is 1.9mb as a jpeg...)

I think it's cool, but it would be alot easier to use the filters in photoshop to
get the same result!.
Cool that you did it in POV though!

Looks good. It almost looks like a Phillip Plisson photograph.

Nooo, can't agree here, I'd first have to get photoshop, woulnd't I ?
And, this is only a part of the experiment... right now I'm working with some
4000 glass spheres ver the image... pretty nice results.

It almost looks like the lighthouse is engraved into the pic.
