Hi!

Looks like a crackle pattern to me but I won't bet on it. There is also
something like bumps to it.

Any chance to to give the mortar cracks a different colour easily?

BTW, this is a really fine texture!

Yep - it's an average of 90% turbulated crackle, lower lambda, and 10% small
bumps.  No texture, except smoothing, is applied to the heightfield object

It's actually a hf - not a texture

I'll post The source in povray.text.scene-files

mortar colour wouldn't be too hard - a gradient texture oughta do it

Ah, so here it is. Just message reading confusion.
Looks like it could do with a bit of color change at the crevices to me.
Or is this a snapshot from a vacation in South (Central) America where
those super-fine masonry walls are?

Sorry I like it but it doesn't look like a stone wall, but that really awful white
bubbelly wallpaper that some people had in the seventies, my auntie Pauleen used
to have some.

Stone walls don't have mortar, that's why they'r called stone walls, the farmer
goes out into the fields and looks for big stones puts them on top of each other
and says to all his mates "look at my new stone wall".
