Well done!

I don't have a problem with the spaceship casting a shadow. I believe that
low ground formations could exist as you have them. I would have used an
area_light to soften the shadow edges, but that's me. :)

I too am working with some of 3dcafe's objects, but unfortunately my idea may
not get off the ground due to about 100+ MB worth of UDO's (my system only has
24 MB of RAM and 600 MB free HD) but I think you have an EXCELLENT grasp of
art to make this picture! But one suggestion the teeth on the skull if they
are a separate part in the CSG group in Moray, you might want to make them
look a shade or 2 darker (if the skull's owner was a smoker) or lighter to
allow better visibility from the rest of the skull

I was thinking it could look better with less haze, maybe more of a
ground-hugging fog instead. Doesn't say much for the Canadian Space
Agency, but then maybe there isn't one anyway. Could title it Maple
Leaves in Winter on Mars.

good idea. they are indeed seperate objects (it was a very good model),
i'll give that a try to see how it looks.

This is a great image, but in a way I think it's too clean. If you go back to
this one, here are me suggestions:

The shadows from the figure and that of the space ship tell me that the light
source is very close instead of very far away.
There is no apparent way to into the ship, and it should look used.
The helmet should have a few cracks
The suit and the helmet should have some grime, since they've presumably been
there for a while

I know, nitpicky, but that would upgrade this (to my eyes) from fabulous to
amazing.

(and if I seem too nit picky, I apologize... I just spent three hours fixing
the HTML for a web page that MS Publisher spat out)

<g>, well i did ask for suggestions. i'll play with the texturees a bit
to see if i can add some grunge to it. I like the ship the way it is
though, i'm trying for a '50s pulp-zine look.
