Yeah, antialiasing would be greatly improved upon if it could be limited
to specified, or excluded from certain parts of a scene.
The amount of depth, +R3 default, matters a great deal as many already
know. More improves singular point "seeing", yet less depth allows for
less smudging.
Any votes for selective antialiasing? Or has this vote been balloted
before...?

A new keyword to an object , antialias off, or no_antialias would fit
nice.

Or maybe set it to antialias everywhere but the edges (good for images with
transparency)

This was three years ago but as we now know this is because colors
are clipped before aa and also DOF calculations. They don't need to
be clipped. 100% is not the maximum incoming light intensity in the
virtual povray camera. The 100% limit is only in the virtual film
which records the incoming light.
