Hey all,

Many have wondered what the quantum POV particle looks like. I managed to
get a glimpse of one in a high-speed CSG collision* at the giant underground
POV particle accelerator near Geneva.

Eric
* for those interested in the technical details:
union {
  object {
    ObjectOne
    translate <-Offset+(SpeedOfLite*0.999999999999999*clock),0,0>
  }
  object {
    ObjectTwo
    translate <Offset-(SpeedOfLite*0.999999999999999*clock),0,0>
  }
}

For me at least it is an unknown compression method: my default Media Player
nor MainActor can do anything with it. What did you use?

Hmmm... that's odd. I used Corel PhotoPaint 8 and Intel I.263 Video Driver
2.55.01 for compression. Media Player 6.4 plays it just fine for me.
Anybody else have problems with it?

Yep, me too. That is, I couldn't get it to play either.

Media player went off looking for the M$ website, but since I don't like
programs doing that (going online without permission) and I wasn't online
at the time anyway, it didn't have any luck.

I don't suppose there's any chance of you mpeg'ing it is there? I like
Mpegs, they're usually a hell of a lot smaller, and therefore I have less
of a 'phone bill to pay for downloading them :)

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

That's the "video conferencing" codec. Apparently I only got it when installing a
netcam so it's probably not going to be on all computers.
You can get it though netcam or not, either at MS (as said) or here:
http://support.intel.com/support/createshare/camerapack/CODINSTL.htm
The codec isn't intended for "fast-motion" I've read.

Corel PhotoPaint 8 does a bad job making mpegs. I just downloaded the
latest patch and I'll see if they've improved it or I'll use another mpeg
maker. I'm sure I can find one on the net.

Oo ta!

I could view it this time. :)

Very pretty.

But there's just one problem... Which bits are the quanta? The orbital
wossnames, or the whole constuct? <grin>

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

What on earth was this connected with?
