Yes and no :)

I've already deleted the mesh files, so I would have to re-simulate
everything, but in theory it shouldn't be difficult at all to position the
camera wherever we want.

Thanks for your comments,

Fernando.

I think I will need some help from someone from India... I know almost
nothing about flying carpet dynamics...

Ha ha ha...

Fernando.

I think you tried to say "sail"...

No, I hadn't considered that application... But it's a very good idea!
Actually I've been thinking on implementing what other have already done
here: make "gelatin" objects. However, my studies haven't let me do too much
in these days and I don't think the work load will diminish in the near
future :(

Good luck,

Fernando.

[giggles] Waaaay... that's really cool! In fact, that's fantastic! 8-D I
don't know what's so amusing about it... but you've really made me smile. It
looks really real!

Andrew.
(Oh god, the stress is finally making me loose it ;-)

I guess you have to consider what sort of sail you want to simulate. Or
even a whole boat! :)

Strength/angle of the wind and where the material is constrained by sheets
or halyards etc. Would be an interesting project! :)

Would be nice to see the wind fill a set of sails and see them luffing in
tacks etc.

You may even be able to sell the code to VirtualSpectator or someone.

Yes, it would be a very interesting project indeed!

I promise that if I find some free time, I'll think about it...

Thanks for the suggestions,

Fernando.

That's really elegant. Are you using your own POV patch to create this?

I made a C program to create the simulation. The meshes are saved as .inc
files which I later render them with POVRay

I'm truly glad that you liked it.

Thanks,

Fernando.
