That's very impressive! Everything moves softly. I don't know what to
compare it with, since I never saw something like this before. The pattern
of movement seems to be advanced, and quite interesting.

Wow!
I played the movie on full screen and started watching it over and over
again...
I almost got myslf HIPNOTIZED!
This is _dangerous stuff_!!!!
He he he. ;))
Pretty cool.
I wish I could have a 800x600 (640x480 would be nice) version of this one
(hint hint hint).
The color changes are very pleasant and relaxing to watch, or mabe it is
just me who am weird :P
Very cool
3D_fractal_kind_of_thing_like_a_tree_or_somethin_called_gorgontree.
Why can't I have this kind of original ideas too???
Since I can't I'm glad people like you have ;)
Best regards.
P.S.: I don't know a line of Perl, but I'm trying to learn Python

Thank you very much,
I made some more in 600 x 800 AVI format 5M.
Those can be found at http://pi1799.kub.nl/mpg for the next 2 weeks.

Rob

Thank you very much.
All three hints taken.
See http://pi1799.kub.nl/mpg/
--> gargantree1.avi
--> gargantree2.avi
--> gargantree3.avi
All 600 x 800 AVI format
BTW on my computer they would play under WINDOWS-ME but not under
WINDOWS-2000-PROFESSIONAL.
Beats me,
I use Povray under LINUX to generate the frames.
but the best convertor I have found runs on WINDOWS only as far as I know.

Rob

Try to get hold of a video "Beyond The Mind's Eye" put out by Mirimar,
part II of a collection of computer generated animation.
There is a scene in one of the clips that Rob's animation is similar to.
BTW Rob, yours looks good.

Funny you should mention that. I have "Gate to the Mind's Eye" (arguably
the best of the series, especially musicwise), which is what really got me
interested in 3d rendering and animation in the first place.

Love them all, specially the gargantree2.avi, the part where the tree has
its branches closer to the camera. It's a very nice effect.
My wife is fascinated by the colors and their transitions :))) Pretty cool.

Well they all played perfectly on my PIII 500 with
Win 2k Professional
version 5.0 build 2195, service pack 2 with
Windows media player
version 7.01.00.3055
Well, and now I have another sugestion:
how about an animation of an ENTIRE FOREST of gargantrees hem? :)))
Something like a landscape full of them, from near the camera into the
horizon, all moving at the same time, or like waves???
That would be cool :))))))
This was just an idea. I don't know how hard it would be for you to do that
or how much more processing power and rendering time that would need.
The movs you got are pretty cool :))
Thnx.
Best regards

Haven't heard of that one, must have a look around, I have the first 2
on VCD.
Now that I have watched them again, I find a lot of similarities between
the video clips and what is being done here.
I wounder if the same could be done with the animations posted here and
on peoples web pages, combine them and put some funky electronic music
behind them. Any takers?
Alex.
