Yes, it looks like it wants to flatten itself out. You can see a very strong
repulsion against folding.

Yes, the cloth is modeled as a triangular mesh, so topologically is a
surface of two dimensions, that's why it appears to have no thickness.

I spent some time trying to see how could I simulate some thickness in it...
at lease visually, but I didn't get anywhere.

You are from Austria? One year and a half ago I visited Salzburg and 6
months ago I visited Graz and Wien (Vienna) and I loved Austria! It is a
beautiful place.

Hi Tom, I'm using MS-OE6. Sometimes, after replying a post, the reply is not
placed in the correct place. But I discovered that if I restart the
newsreader, everything is corrected. Strange, but true...

I think the animation looks perfect in its first half.
In the second half, the cloth acts weird.

It still feels like the cloth its a little too stiff than it should be, just
a little bit.

But I think you are getting there :))

Maybe it can be simulated by giving more stiffness to the small wrinkles but
decreasing it for larger scales.

Yes I am (I think you gessed it from the .at in my e-mail?). It's nice that
you had a good time in Austria. I live approx. 60km south of Vienna, very
close to the hungarian border. Fortunetaly it doesn't matter for writing
e-mails *lol*



The translation is quite ok, it just missed an "e" since it is called
"Danke" in this phrase. :-)
Can it translate backwards as well?

The computer translated it as "Gladly occurred, me your animation and I
please already look forward to new Simulationen!" which is enough to give me
an idea of what you meant. Normally the translations are better, perhaps
there is some ambiguity in the sense of the sentence?

ps. The only two main phrases that I learned were "Ich sprechen kein
Deutsche" and "Sprechen sie English?" (Don't know if I spelled that
correctly!)
