Camera angle?  As in zoom only, no translation?  Wow.
My first encounter with this kind of fractal-zooming was seeing the Amiga 500
in a store window so I always think of the Amiga when I see these.
Looks to me like you must have used the VideoMach program to make this mpg.
Has that strobing annoyance I always get when I try to make a small file with
it.

MainActor with settings set low to get 374 frames in at 686 kbbu.  Could set it
higher.

I think this is an easier approach. Set up a
camera{ location Place
              look_at Place +z
              angle   10
             }
with a variable Place starting at <0,0,-10>.  Then slowly knock down the angle as
you adjust the x and y parameters of the Place variable to zoom in on the area
you want.

I also made a few more that zoom in on much more colorful areas of the pattern,
on some baby Mandelbrots...
