What should i do to post an animation to the group... I am working on a
Mac. w/ Netscape Communicator 4.7... I would prefer to post the version
that opens in a browser versus one that must be downloaded... It really
does not matter though... I just want to be sure to post correctly the
first time... T.I.A... Moon47...

i don't think there is a way to post animations inline. you're going to
have to just attach the file. if you've noticed, when you first open a
post that has an animation, it starts to download automatically before
you click it. if you wait for it to finish, and then click, there is no
wait time after that. your viewer should just open right up. if, on
the other hand, you click the link after waiting for a while, your
viewer will open and you'll have to wait all over.

it broke for me too. can you run it without problems right on your
machine? how about converting it to something else like mpg? there are
some free converters out there on the pov links.

Yes it runs fine in the original... Maybe it should be a MPEG or AVI... I
will look up a converter and post another test... <fingers crossed>

Movie2MPEG(http://www.win.ne.jp/~juan/misc/mpg/index_e.html) is the only
one I know of...though maybe iMovie can do it too(I haven't even
downloaded iMovie yet).

I've managed to make my netscape play mpegs inline. Now I was wondering,
why are images directly viewed when they are attached, but mpegs not? Is
this a configuration error of my mpeg plugin or is this the way netscape
works?
I like to have the mpegs directly opened when I read the post, just like
I can directly view the images.
