I found two posts where i reported it (in pre-beta), one in April, one in
August, both were meant to be 'fixed':

news://news.povray.org/3AE05AF3.8CBF799A%40gmx.de
news://news.povray.org/3B8E5BD3.B86D32BE%40gmx.de

No need to worry, just fix it again and make sure min() and max() work
correct too. ;-)

It's just a suggestion/hint to resolve the classical blob bug.
The scene, when rendered, shows two polygonal holes in the
blob.
Removing the clipping done by the bezier optimisation in the code allows
to get the correct blob.

The bug is still present in B7 (as expected).
If you want, I can post pictures of the rendered scenes in the beta*.binaries group.
(two versions: one made with B7, and one made with a patched 3.1g, aka bugged vs
normal).
Just ask...

This bug wasn't in the list...

http://news.povray.org/povray.beta-test/19303/?ttop=19763&toff=50

It's unconfirmed, I believe. Perhaps it was just overlooked by everyone. =)

And a while ago I posted something about a problem with media photons being
too bright
(http://news.povray.org/povray.beta-test/19126/?ttop=19763&toff=100) and
Nathan Kopp said he was "still looking into it"... I'm not sure what that
means exactly, but I don't see it in the bug list, confirmed or unconfirmed,
so I thought I should mention it. (note that at least one of the other bugs
I mentioned in that thread *have* been fixed. The media photons one has not,
as of beta 7.)

Can anyone tell me how to turn these references into message-ids?

Just did a search on the titles in this newsgroup with my news client.

You un-fixed it in change 1042, by the looks (at least, change 1042 un-does the
change you did in change 503 ...)

Oh, I'm sorry about that. Is there a simple way to get the real URL, in the
future?

you missed this

Bug with declaration with no dimensions
http://news.povray.org/scpitt851apfq5r6qtsoi1vpupt77g829s@4ax.com
I don't know it is confirmed or not (Ron answered but no change within
beta 7)

Why ?

You maintained this within your list as bug (so someone confirmed it) and I
don't see any discussion about it ? So what changed ? Perhaps compiler platform.
But it still not work with beta 7. Example attached to bugreport is only
example. I have designed large system based on Parse_String (many times called
Parse_String) and within generated files parser reports nonsesnse content (but
content of files is ok). And my system works fine when I replace content of
Parse_String with

#declare Parse_String_Counter=0;
#macro Parse_String(String)
    #local File_Name=
        concat("parse_string_",str(Parse_String_Counter,0,0),".tmp")
    #fopen FOut File_Name write
    #write(FOut,String)
    #fclose FOut
    #declare Parse_String_Counter=Parse_String_Counter+1;
    #include File_Name
#end

So I think povray is not prepared to twice read/write the same file with
different content. Now I found your post that it is rather limitation. If this
is confirmed limitation by the Team then it is sad fact for me. I found way to
make simple OOP for SDL with this.

There is another thing connected with Parse_String reported by me and not
included anywhere (no answer, no list entry, no change within documentation)

Yes! Now I remember! I did so after I fixed the comparison function VM
problem in change 1036 and then apparently reversed that code twice...
