Is it possible to put a poser character with
his own texture from Poser3 to PovRay 3.1 ?

I've try with 3DWin 4.7, with PoseRay, with
GuiPose2POV, with Pose2Pov, with CrossRoads
1.01...and so on with no result.

The Udo files (for Moray 3.2) and the Pov files
(for PovRay and Moray) offers only a character
without the original texture, and only a single color white.

On one case, there's an error with the TIFF, in another
case there's a problem with the name of the UDO...

Is it more easy with beta PovRay 3.5 and Moray 3.3 ?

Thanks.

Poser 3 characters have one texture once converted.
Using an image map (uv map) can solve partly the problem but only with a
version of Povray that recognise uv mapping (such as Megapov or 3.5). IIRC,
even then, it may be necessary to export separately some of the body parts
(particularly the hair). (Poser 4 is much more straightforward).
TIFF support is currently very buggy in 3.5, so I suggest that you use JPEG,
PNG or TGA (if transparency is needed) instead.
BTW, I have a tutorial in French about uv mapping and Poser characters
http://www.oyonale.com/ressources/francais/tutuv.htm.

Another (unfinished and in english) tutorial at:
http://www.tomandlu.co.uk/raytracing/postut/

I used method 3 with Pov 3.5 just the other day, which works fine.

The tutorial uses Poser 3 with patch applied (avail. from poser website, don't
know what difference it makes), UVMapper and 3dWin.
