This might have been asked before, but anyway...

How do I set the Radiosity settings propery, to achieve the best results?
And how does the params affect the result in practice? (Yes, I have read the
docs on this, but it's pretty difficult to experiment with a feature like
this with the rendertime and som on, you know...) I have managed to get a
pretty good result on a simple scene, but who-ha-hey-that-render-time!! And
what is the difference between the MegaPov radiosity and the official
implementation? (Again in practice.)

Is anyone willing to share some experience with me on this?

Simen.

Radiosity in megapov is faster, better and easier to use.

I can't say I understand all the radiosity settings - I've just adopted
Nathans's examples as an include file. I'll give you my starting values and my
interpretation of the settings:

count - 30, keep as low as possible. Increase If you notice uneven ambient
lighting or dark splotches
nearest_count - 4, increase if you get splotches.
error_bound - 2.5, use lower values if you use an object to illuminate the
scene
recursion_limit - 3, increase if you'd like "more" radiosity or if corners and
such are dark.

These settings are pretty fast, but I rarely increase count more than 50 for
the final render.

Hope this helps!

sig.

Thanks. I have also tried the settings in the help file for winmegapov, and
with a little adjusting, it looks pretty good! Ah, thiese plastic surfaces;
earth colors and a dull walls.
