There probably is no way to do so unless you have LW6 and it
can export to a different 3D file format that 3DWin supports
such as .dxf, .3ds, .obj....

I'm having some difficulty exporting a Moray .udo/.inc. The only export
format I can find is .pov. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

this program is a small utility to view and convert 3D
files to a number of other 3D formats. Beside well known
features from V3.5 now full material conversion is supported.

3DWin is available at
http://www.stmuc.com/thbaier/tools.html

What's new:

  * 3dto3d engine supports now solids like sphere, cylinder etc
  * Protein Data Bank (*.pdb) import
  * bug in OpenGL export fixed
  * Batch import (registered version only)

The Basics:

  * running unter Win95/98/NT4/W2K
  * easy installation
  * plugin architecture
  * updates via support web page.
  * clear and comfortable userinterface
  * full help support
  * robust and fast conversion routines
  * reliable handling of larges scenes
  * detailed statistics about conversion process
  * supports polygon meshes including normals and uv vectors
  * supports light and camera conversion
  * supports material and image map conversion (registered version
only)

   Import:

   Generic ASCII format (*.raw)
   3dStudio (*.3ds, *.prj)
   Lightwave (*.lwo, *.lws)
Autodesk (*.dxf)
WaveFront (*.obj)
Protein Data Bank (*.pdb)

   Export:
   Generic ASCII format (*.raw)
   3dStudio (*.3ds, *.asc)
   Lightwave (*.lws, *.lwo)
   Autodesk (*.dxf)
   VRML 1.0/2.0 (*.wrl)
   POV-Ray and Moray (*.inc, *.udo)
WaveFront (*.obj)
OpenGL (*.C)
Renderman/BMRT (*.rib)
Lightflow (*.py)

Okay, I checked all of the options and still can't find an answer to my
problem. I can create the .udo/.inc and import the .udo into Moray, and
assign it a material--but it just won't render. HELP!

TIA

u and v are the names of the coordinates used to map a 2D texture on the surface
of a 3D object.

I suppose you've made sure that you moved both the .udo and the
corresponding .inc into you moray for windows/udo directory?

Have you created a light source?

Is the light source outside the object?

If yes to all the above, then I pass.

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

Thanks for the suggestions, but yes, I've tried them all already. In fact,
I checked the message window in POV-Ray, and it says it can't find one of
the .inc files. But I've checked and everything is where it's supposed to
be (\udo).  Go figure?!?
