I am having problems getting IK to work. I set up the allowed
transformations for each level in the Heirarchy, and then use the IK tool
and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong.

Also every time I close Moray, it crashes, why?

When you switch to the IK tool, do you see the white IK skeleton
wireframe? Does it look like the skeleton that you setup?

Either install the new 3DWinPlugin from http://www.stmuc.com/thbaier
or delete the 3DWin plugin from Moray's Plugins folder. That should
solve the problem.

I don't see a white skeleton, the model doesn't change.

Thanks for the advice about the crashing though : )

Then you haven't setup IK correctly. Please work through the IK
tutorials on our website. It may make it clearer as to how the object
hierarchy needs to be setup.

Do I have to set limits for IK to work, and if so, do I set them on the
actual union, or on the object itself?

I second Lutz's recommendation to check out the tutorial. When I started
with IK I looked at the robot.mdl file that comes with Moray 3.1 but
couldn't really get a handle on it. Then I followed the tutorial and
everything started to make sense. They key thing is to think about how the
model will work, i.e. what part influences what other part. You then build
the chain (or better: tree) of objects. It helps when you start with the
object that influences all the other ones.

Hope it helps.

Bernd
