At http://www.tc-rtc.co.uk/index/index.html the November/December Stills
Challenge: The Sphinx (by Poe, Edgar Allan, 1809-1849) has ended.
Members are all kindly invited to vote. As usual, you can do this till
the end of this month. Do not forget to vote for all the images if you
want your votes to be valid!
Not a member yet? Please become one and participate in the two monthly
Challenges.
The new Challenge for January/February 2012 is Japanese. Go the Way of
the Samurai, visit Fukushima, or focus on Sony or Toyota? The choice is
yours.
At the drawing board!

As I woke up in a brisky trollish mood, after browsing the latest winners in the
Dinosaur contest I have to say I'm rather disappointed to see how scanline
OpenGl renders like these:
http://www.tc-rtc.co.uk/imagenewdisplay/stills/index356.html
http://www.tc-rtc.co.uk/imagenewdisplay/stills/index351.html
look much better than this atrocious and baroque povray third place render:
http://www.tc-rtc.co.uk/imagenewdisplay/stills/index354.html
Come on! I'm sure povray has been put to far better use years ago in IRTC...

couple of constructive things that you could do. You are very welcome to
join and submit as many entries as you want or you can join and vote for
the entries. Unlike the IRTC voting is open to all members.
We welcome all.
There is also a forum where you can voice your opinions at:

By the way, this image did *not* get the third place, as you can see in
the banner heading the web page. This was due to internal (automatic)
calculation errors. Instead, Robert McGegor's Low Tide got third place.
For some reason the list has not (yet) been corrected.

May be Normand uses an other renderer, but I esteem him as a very gifted artist
using his special tools with mastery. I prefer POV but have limited skills due
to limited time at the moment. So I will end up with a more or less WIP in my
entries. But I try and enter the competition. I cannot see an entry from the
goddess of revenge in the whole history of the tc-rtc. So please don't complain,
make it better. I know you have some abilities.
Regards,
Michael
