Hi,

the "mother hive" animation topic timeframe is done, with
one entry by the unfailing John VanSickle.

Next topic: ???
(Steve, if the next topic was supposed to be announced
automatically, then i guess there's a server script that
needs some extra ironing out ;)

No, no server script failure here, it's me, I do it. Manually. ;)

Anyway, the next challenge has been chosen for both Stills and Anims,
and it's:

'In The Wilderness' by Robert Smythe Hichens, 1846-1950. (
http://www.tc-rtc.co.uk/index/index.html )

So, get your thinking caps on, and let's make it a good one for the New
Year! :)

      ~Steve~

And there almost wasn't one from me. The final rendering was done mere
hours before the deadline. Too much Diablo II, again.

Regards,
John

Thanks, St., for doing this project. I've got my heart in it, even if I haven't
produced yet.

Early on in round: Oh my, there's SOOOO much time that I have to plan an
enormous project. Do lots of thinking.

Late in round: Eh, too late to start.

Same here :) except for me, another commitment popped up
unexpectedly.

This afternoon, i already got a script ready for "The
Wilderness". Again, just stealing the title, not the book ;)
Only seven or eight camera angles, only one location. Need
to model a convincing tree and hilltop for the first time
ever, though...

Motivation Greg. Forget the planning. Just start it, then finish it.
Let it build... ;)

I'm sure a man with your ability can do that simple task... :)

And think things like, "there's lots of time. No need to start today."

> Late in round: Eh, too late to start.

If it weren't for the last minute, I'd never get anything done.

John

i) Wife tells me a I gotta story board.
ii) Weren't you all baffled by the plot line all those times I used that
planning methodology for the IRTC? :-)

Then there's the "Yeah, I can SO do this topic for once!", followed by the "Oh,
crud... where in the %$#@ am I going to squeeze this project in???"

There needs to be 600 hours per day. That's the only way I can find time to do
all the things I'd like to do :(
