I am actually working on a blob2 primitive, which will use this function 
and a solving method similar to that of the isosurface primitive. 
Dropping it into the existing blob primitive is probably possible, but I 
don't understand the code nearly well enough, and it would be more 
limited than what I plan. The blob2 primitive will support far more 
component types, and will be faster than the equivalent isosurface, but 
probably slower than the equivalent blob.
