Very sorry to hear that I know it can be very upsetting. Our family cat
died a year or two ago, just of old age I think, she got to 20.5 years so I
knew her most of my life. It was just like one of the family had died,
actually worse because I'd spent so much time with her whilst growing up.
I'm sure he enjoyed life with you ;-)

Sorry to hear that. He looked like a lovely cat.

My condolences. :(
My parents and I almost lost our feline friend due to a urinary tract
blockage. We all had problems sleeping during that episode. It's
amazing how attached we get to our pets.

Could not continue reading your post at the first sight of "blood".
Sorry for your loss. If it hurt, I can relate:
When Gary landed in the hospital turning yellow and jaundiced, I was just as
devasted as my very first heartbreak; heart pounding emptiness of shear agony
for my blunder.
Some withdraw never to love again in this life, thinking "love hurts". When
really the answer is to love more.
Here is his first photo when he landed hungry on our patio. (lower right)
Who could not love that face (even though it was biting the heads off the mice
he caught), Answer: Dark souls cannot love

The important stuff or lesson learned
The next time one of these gifted precious creatures lands on your step,
if they enter, you lock the door with spite for the fact they want to go out.
Outside can bring a quick demise. Gary is fine and still with us; 4,000 dollars
of ICU later.

Ouch; we have a cat who is like that - he was about 3 weeks old (if that)
when he was abandoned by his mother (from a feral colony). Diagnosed
with feline herpes (I think it was) and diverticulitis. I don't know how
much we spent on medical bills for him nor how many days he lived at the
vet (a veterinary hospital), but he's just turned 3 and is just as mean
as ever, yet we still love him - in spite of the fact that he beats his
older "brothers" up regularly (he's got claws, they don't).

There are many in need of a definition, especially dark ones who cannot do this:
Copyrighted material,(Concept Synergy)
but I dont think Love minds its use in this context.
7x7 Matrix of Love
Love does 7 things(!) to provide 7 feelings(*) (Action!/Awareness*)
Love...
1} Gives
2} Responds
3} Respects
4} Knows
5} Has the humility to be intimate
6} Has courage to make a commitment
7} Love cares
And for specific reasons, to provide...
1} Safety and security
2} Pleasure
3} Honesty and the ability to be vulnerable
4} Trust
5} Reduced fear of loss
6} Intimacy and caring
7} Wonder of being known
Now you can tell for sure if you're doing or not.
Love more; Love more ...
Just shoot me, I wouldn't mind.
This vain attempt at making a difference brought to you by,
aQ

Glad to hear he's still with you. We've still got seven other kitties,
but having so many only makes us love each of them more.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Our furbabies are as much family to us
as our human kin, aren't they? He was a lucky guy to have found such a
good and loving family.
Brighteyes was quite a handsome fellow, wasn't he? In the picture, he
has a rather noble expression that reminds me a bit of my cat Lord
Greyfluffy. (He's just a beat-up old grey tomcat, frayed ears and
missing some toes, that showed up one day, moved in, and took over. But
he "adopted" my husband when he was very ill; then, after Paul died, he
adopted our little elderly dog; and after _she_ died, he adopted me--so
I suppose I ought to be worried...)
There's not really a lot I believe in, but I *know* that our furfolk kin
are waiting for us...somewhere...at the foot of the Rainbow Bridge.
