My point was that I don't think I acted against my own advice to him.
Maybe I'm being a bit presumptuous, but that's my honest view.

Well of course you would think that, otherwise you wouldn't have made the
post in the first place. But your view isn't necessarily the only view
that applies - and for those of us with a different view, the irony is
pretty funny. :-)

It has been now over a week since I made the page and Google still hasn't
indexed it, even though it's linked to from me home page.

Is there a way to tell google to index it?

Post the link to a couple of popular web forums that are fully on-topic and
indexed by Google. There's really no need to post it everywhere as these
kind of things can snowball easily if the content is right. Google indexing
is really a popularity contest: I've seen messages in famous web forums show
up a few *** minutes *** in the Google index after being posted. On the
other hand, pages with no external incoming links can stay in limbo for a
while.

If you use, say, Wordpress as your blogging software, you can get
Google to index it (as soon as you post?).

So set up Wordpress and create a post with a link to whatever you want
Google to index.

Probably works for all major blogging systems/software. Heck, should
work if you do that even with a Wordpress or Blogspot account.

	Haven't tried it, though.

Which part? Getting Google to automatically index blog posts?

In Wordpress, go to Settings --> Privacy. Select the option that allows
Google, etc to index. Then go to Settings --> Writing --> Update
Services. See:
