I just checked the site, and there is now a version on there dated the
1st of June.
So I grabbed it :)
I haven't had time to lay with it and see what's changed, but I thought
I'd let people know.
For those who've forgotten the URL, it's:
http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/6625/soft10.html
Bye for now,
Jamie.

Of course, I meant *play* with it.
Urg... Too tired to type straight...
Bye for now,
Jamie

Hmm, the English mirror site (http://www.crosswinds.net/~hamapatch/) is
slacking off then :-)
I was just checking day before yesterday. This thing is a whirlwind of
updates.

<shrug> well, I opened up the mirror site and the home site at the same
time in different windows, and just looked at the dates on the links, and
lo and behold! A new version of hamaPatch to play with.
It has one new feature which is a load of buttons down the LH side of the
screen, but they can be turned off quite easily. Other than that, I've
not noticed anything new. And the grid snap still isn't quite like that
of sPatch :(
Bye for now,
Jamie.

Hey now, give a guy a break now and then, huh? ;-)
Actually, I was spending time trying to figure out what was new in the
program, besides the obvious (and to my tasted quite redundant) menu window
feature. Still I suppose it could be a usable feature to some, though I hope
control of whether it is on or off in the beginning is put in the ini file
or etc menu in the future.
Anyway 2.05 is on the mirror now if a bit late. Notice the current version
is always accessible at the site through the "guaranteed current version"
link leading to the zip file on Hamakazu's site. (My slack-off insurance)

Not all that late, I was just emphasizing the quickness of those updates going
on.
I just hope no one tries that URL to your web page I had put into my message
reply, if it's clickable in the newsreader. I just now found it added the
closing parentheses and makes for a broken link. So don't use that as a
hyperlink anybody! :-) I thought you had removed your web page to prevent my
getting to it anymore. j/k

Certainly, which limb? <grin>

I wasn't trying to put down your efforts, it's just that I noticed there
was a new version up on the authors site, and decided to mention it on
the NG's for those who hadn't checked...
And is it just me, or is the OpenGL preview in HamaPatch faster than the
one in sPatch? Although I'm not sure if HamaPatch uses OpenGL...

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable precaution to me. You can guarantee
that even if you check the site daily, the new version will be uploaded 5
minutes after you last checked... :)
Bye for now,
Jamie.
