I don't think most CE machines have a numeric coprocessor, so it'd be
a curiosity at best.

Shame, I don't have access to a real computer at work but I can bring a
handheld. Since I will be working late nights I was hoping to fill some of
the down time by completing some of my povray projects.

I just saw some of the new handhelds and if they can't handle Pov yet,
they soon will..

You could always download the HTML help files to the handheld and use
its built-in editor to work on source files at work and render when you
get back home.

there is www.yasrt.org

should be no great pain to get pov compiled and running on a ce device,
although it might not be worth while :)

I already do that on scraps of paper, but there comes a time when you
need to render. In fact, with me, I need hundreds of test renders for even
the simplest scene.

If you really wanted to (and assuming you have broadband), you could
probably set up a system that would let you write the source file on your
WinCe device, upload it to your PC at home, which would render it, and then
send it back to your handheld. :-)

It's something I've been working on myself. However, Microsoft Embedded
Visual C++ doesn't have a "time.h" header file which the povray source looks
for. I figured it would be best to start with the unix generic source, but
I haven't figured out how to configure the "config.h" header file. If
anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

The next version of yasrt if it gets released for the Pocket PC could be
worthwhile. The current version is a little on the primitive side.
